I mentioned briefly before that I was shaving my head to treat my psoriasis by using a tanning bed rather than continue with steroids, or taking pills. And the dermatologist I saw said she didn't think my insurance would cover the shot but I'd rather try this first than give myself a shot too. Hair can grow back. But in the meantime, I feel vain but, I hate this. I'm always wearing a hat or my wig. The tanning is only having a little effect so far but hoping for a greater one as time goes on. It's not the easiest to tell but if you could see me in person, along my hair line my scalp is very red or covered in white scabs if I haven't treated it with anything for a while. I hope this tanning works and maybe I can just maintain getting sun to my scalp with my hair a little longer instead of this long term. I don't know if anyone else is going through this, but I hope they know they aren't alone.
