Hi there! My name is Alyssa and I was born in 1990 in Missouri and grew up there all my life. I didn't have the easiest time growing up, and like a lot of kids had divorced parents. I had 2 half sisters and 2 stepbrothers, but never a full sibling. I would spend most of my time with my mom, and every other weekend with my father and his family. I soon learned my mom loved me a lot more than my dad and stopped going to his house when I was 13. I had a typical teenage rebellion period from 14-17 years old that caused a lot of havoc to my mom and my memories, but straightened up rather well when I met my now husband, Sean, at age 18. I met him online and he was 21. We met around March 1st 2008, and married a year later on March 14th, 2009. He had a job in Illinois while I was attending college to be an English teacher in Missouri, so he would drive 2 hours home to me on his 2-3 days off a week. We eventually bought a house in Missouri and he continued driving. That went on for 5 years, including throughout my pregnancy that started in July 2013. We finally moved close to his work when I was 8 months pregnant, into a rental trailer his dad owns while our house in Missouri is up for sale. I did complete college but got a General Studies major when I decided to take classes I wanted since I decided not to teach English, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Honors. I worked retail in 2011 when I got really sick, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and had to quit because I physically could not work. When I got pregnant and they discovered I had hypothyroidism and now I feel much better while on treatment for it. I still have yet to seek employment, enjoying being a stay at home mom for now at least. I'm pretty passionate about all things baby and only want the best for my first (and only so far) child, Uriah. I grew up passionate about writing and reading as well (though I've only ever been published once), and hope to at least entertain myself with this little blog. I hope you enjoy!
